Len Levy
Edward Levy b.1894-1980 started his egg farm in 1933 in Ferndale. Len Levy b.1923 helped his father growing up on the farm. Returning from service in WW II, along with his brother-in-law Charles Yonteff, the family expanded the farm until the tough economy forced its closure in 1971, despite a state of the art, brooder house. The father of Len’s wife, Joyce b.1932 who worked as a schoolteacher and raised 2 children, was Abe Brand, who also established an egg farm nearby which closed in 1973. Len then worked as a warehouse manager and a truck driver until he retired. Interviewed: August, 2011 Select Clips of Len Levy
